The Finger has really been around for years, just in many different forms.
One form was a band called U-Namit, which included Sean, Kerry & Scott Brewer. U-Namit
once opened for The Guess Who and Mark Farner (of Grand Funk). Monkey Finger has been
fortunate enough to share the stage with the likes of Peter Frampton, Gary Wright and
The Little River Band. They've played stage 2 at Sandstone (Bonner Springs, KS)
for Rush, The Doobie Brothers & Chicago and for Boston. They've been known to perform
at the Kansas Speedway and before Chiefs'
games and Blades' games here in Kansas City.
Here is a brief look at each of the members of
Monkey Finger.

Carl Worden Lead Vocals & Bass Where do we start? Besides being the lead singer for London Drive, Carl has filled the roll of rhythm guitar, lead guitar and keyboards over the years. He's comfortable behind a drum set and (as a child) even won several awards for playing the accordion. Other bands Carl has been a part of are Vandelyn Kross and The Urge. The Urge won the K.C. Rock to Riches contest in 1985. Now, with The Finger, Carl is playing yet another instrument, the bass. (Sorry, no accordion solos) |

Kerry Alexander Lead Guitar & Vocals Kerry was once in a band with Scott Billings called Destroyer (you think maybe they were Kiss fans?). Everything else about Kerry is a mystery. |
|
Scott Billings Guitars & Vocals If you've ever seen London Drive, you've probably seen Scott hop on stage and play a couple of songs with the band. Scott has been a part of the groups Passage and Destroyer. Destroyer also included, if you've been paying attention, Kerry on lead guitar. In the 80s, Scott's fellow musicians ventured to California to become rock stars while Scott held down the fort with his friend Bud Weiser. One by one his friends returned home and Scott decided it was time to do the band thing again. The rest, as they say, is Monkey Finger history. |

Scott Brewer Percussion & Lead Vocals Scott's been playing drums really for as long as he can remember. I'm sure he owes his parents a few sets of undented pots & pans. Besides Monkey Finger and U-Namit, Scott has played with such bands as Foolish Pleasure, The Watchmen, Ace High, Bad Habit, Rockets and Doz Guys. He's had the pleasure of sharing the stage with acts like Rick Springfield, Night Ranger, The Outfield, Jani Lane (of Warrant) and Men At Work among others. He also is currently moonlighting with the band The Tripods. Shhh, don't tell the other guys. |

Sean Bragdon Keyboards & Vocals After hearing Kansas' Leftoverture, Sean was hooked on synthesizers. Sean and Scott "Boom Boom" Brewer started rocking together in high school. (Yet, another early form of the Finger) The list of people Sean has hooked up with musically is just too long to print here (Sorry, Sean). We're just glad that he eventually joined forces with Monkey Finger helping to round out the band's sound. |

Lance Link Inspirations While not an active member of the Finger, Lance is one of the co-founders of the band. He and his group, The Evolution Revolution, released an album in the early 70s. While shunned by critics, Lance's music cannot be denied as some of the most primitive rock to date. His whereabouts are unknown at this time, but he has been spotted at some of the Monkey Finger shows and topless bars in town. |
